VideoGamePriceCharts.com Up....and Then Down

Some of you might have noticed that we went live with VideoGamePriceCharts.com yesterday. Things started off smoothly with people finding prices for all sorts of video games and giving us their feedback on the beta version. And then it all came back down again. Due to heavy traffic on the server, things came to a stand still and then the server crashed.

For now we have put back the parking page we had before until we can work out the server issues and make sure this doesn't happen again.

Thanks everyone who did visit and thank you for your feedback too. We hope to have everything back up soon.

Hi,

I'm looking to open a store soon to sell used games and I'd be interested in using your site for pricing data (even a paid subscription).

I'm also a high-end web developer with loads of experience tuning database intensive sites and servers to handle big traffic. I wouldn't mind letting you pick my brain for some advice if it would help you get your site up earlier. Shoot me an email if you're interested.

Chris. Glad to hear you think the site will provide helpful information. We are actually considering having some sort of paid service where sellers can get all the data directly on a daily basis to use for their own pricing.

Also, feel free to email me about your ideas and server stuff. The email is sales at videogamepricecharts.com
