Monster Party Famicom Prototype on eBay

 photo IMG_1716_zps622aad04.jpg

I know it doesn't look like much but this is one of two known prototypes for the Famicom version of Monster Party, known in Japan as Parody World: Monster Party. Your initial thought might be that there's no real point on buying a prototype of a released game but things get interesting when you consider that the Japanese Famicom version has significant differences and it was never commercially released in Japan, just in the United States.

This is actually a rather large point of contention in the prototype scene because the owner of the first known prototype (he paid around $6,000 for it) swore on his life that he would never dump the data on the cart. He would rather take it to his grave. A little crazy, I know. Well, this second cart has been uncovered in a box of crappy Kusoge games and now it is up for sale on eBay. This is an interesting auction and you can check out lots of photos of it here.

eBay Game Sniper Works with Auctions Too

We launched our eBay Game Sniper two months ago, it only showed fixed price listings that were below their market value. Today we added auctions as well.

Instead of showing newly listed auctions, we show auctions with bid prices below the market value and ending in 90 seconds. Many of these auctions end without getting any more bids and bidding $0.25 more could win it for you.

The fixed price and auction listings are displayed with different background colors to make it easy to differentiate.

You can easily toggle on and off either type of listing so you only see exactly what you want. Adjust the settings using the check boxes.

Try the Sniper today and let us know what you think of the new features.

eBay Game Sniper Takes Into Account Shipping Costs

The eBay Game Sniper now has an option to factor shipping costs into the price of the item.

To enable the feature, click the 'Adjust for shipping' button.

By default this option is disabled, but we will remember what you select so you only need to enable it once.

How it Works
The adjustment only works for listings with a fixed shipping cost for everyone in the USA.

The shipping cost will be added to the 'Cost' column and subtracted from the 'Savings' column. The shipping cost will not be shown anywhere on our page.

Example
Listing with these details:
Value: $20
Buy It Now price: $5
Shipping Cost: $2

No Adjustment Shows These Amounts:
Cost: $5 (Buy it Now price)
Savings: $15 (Value - Buy it Now price)

With Shipping Adjustment:
Cost: $7 (Buy it Now price + shipping)
Savings: $13 (Value - Buy it Now price - shipping)

Listings with an adjusted savings below your savings threshold WILL NOT show up in the Sniper.

If you enable the shipping adjustment, be sure to adjust your minimum savings threshold to your desired level as well.
