I'd be curious how much a box and instruction manual contribute to the overall value of a game. Is it 25% over the cost of the cart itself or as much as double?!

I realize it's very different game to game and the auction titles can be misleading but it seems like you have the raw data to figure out a rough average, at least on a per system basis.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15315676237280381084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5166264252243602432.post-78013652730629072132011-01-24T16:44:24.662-07:002011-01-24T16:44:24.662-07:00@mike - Great idea. As a collector I would love to be able to use your algorithm to estimate the value of my collection.

Granted it wouldn't be super accurate because there is no tracking done on with or without boxes/instructions on the older games but it would still be valuable information.

Thanks again!Mikenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5166264252243602432.post-80539503597245079802010-11-09T10:02:08.293-07:002010-11-09T10:02:08.293-07:00@anonymous - In November there have been 2 sales a...@anonymous - In November there have been 2 sales at less than $140. Someone on Amazon is listing a copy for $99. So all of these make us think the price as decreased.

You can see the completed auctions by clicking the link next to the "Volume" on this page:
Snatcher for Sega CDJJ Hendrickshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10255138459888881579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5166264252243602432.post-9580548771590947102010-11-09T09:52:19.713-07:002010-11-09T09:52:19.713-07:00These prices are somewhat right. Around 200-220 and one listing at a buy it now price of 500. I paid 219 on an auction, how accurate is that Nov price? I noticed a month prior it was valued at 202.50, so that was a steep depreciatation.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5166264252243602432.post-33104497458449742482010-10-25T17:07:53.627-06:002010-10-25T17:07:53.627-06:00how much can i get PSP new edition for my son?how much can i get PSP new edition for my son?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5166264252243602432.post-25872357887673439652010-10-10T01:19:36.594-06:002010-10-10T01:19:36.594-06:00Thanks JJ!

Since the NTSC version of each game is rarer, knowing the difference will strongly influence the price. However, with many sneaky eBayers trying to list games like these without stating that they're PAL (in order to get higher bids), I'm guessing it isn't easy to know off hand whether a piece of data you've gathered is realistic to the NTSC value. Have you come up with a way to overcome that challenge?

As always, loving your price guide, and I appreciate any improvements to it.GamesOgrehttp://www.videogamemuseum.comnoreply@blogger.com
