We are going to start a new weekly feature on the blog with a list of the new releases for the week and which ones might be good to look at as game collectors.
Luminous Arc 2 releases this week and is an RPG for the Nintendo DS from Atlus so has some collector potential right there. If you pre-ordered the game you will receive some really cool pre-order swag. There were two collector's edition games released this week, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe Kollector's Edition for 360 and PS3.

Yep, got me a pre-order on that Luminous Arc 2... and I'll be using my M3 to play it and keep it factory sealed at the same time. I'll also get my hands on Metal Slug 7 and the Harvest Moon spin-off... in time.
Shame nothing else worth a dime is coming out for the Wii or PS3, and as much as I wanna play Left 4 Dead, I think I'll take my chances on the PC version. More mod-friendly, after all.
I've heard this is probably the biggest week of the year for video game new releases in terms of the number of units. It is surprising to me how there are so many titles but most aren't very exciting at all.
I am really looking forward to 2009 though. Lots of Wii RPG's from Marvelous, some good action games from Sega, and the DS, 360, and PS3 all have some good games announced too.
